Care Instructions

• Mulching: Apply mulch to retain soil moisture and regulate temperature. Keep mulch away from the trunk
• Fertilizing: Apply a balanced, slow-release fertilizer in early spring if needed. Avoid over-fertilizing, which can reduce flowering
• Pruning:
• Prune immediately after flowering to maintain shape and size
• Avoid pruning later in the season, as lilacs set buds on old wood
• Remove any shoots from the trunk or below the graft to maintain the tree form
